Read this first person account from our Mayor, Nina Bifolchi, about the history of the re-development of the Beachfront. It is a cautionary account of what can happen with inexperienced leadership and blind ambition that focused all their energy on a small portion of the Town at the expense of representing all of the community. It can be argued they overpaid for the property, due diligence was not performed on the buildings, and the debt service for the purchase is approximately $900,000.00 per year for the past 7 years.
