Historical Archives Grand Opening
The Wasaga Beach Archives has a new home to display their treasures accumulated over many years. A Grand Opening and ribbon cutting was held with many volunteers and residents attending to view and learn of the rich history of our community. Congratulations to the Historical Society and all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication to make the Archives a new reality.
Second Beach Clean Up Of The Year
The Wasaga Rotary Club and Georgian Bay Forever are spearheading the beach clean-up initiative.The next dates to participate are August 8th, 15th and 22nd for anyone wishing to join us. We meet on the Beachfront at 22nd St next to the Ontario Parks office. Here I am joined by fellow Rotarian Kevin and Bronwyn from GBF and Ann a volunteer. The Mobi Mats are out, as well. This initiative was championed by former Councillor Morley Bercovitch to allow accessibility to our shoreline. Well done everyone.
